The company has completed over two hundred projects throughout New England because of the commitment from the staff of project managers, site supervisors and excellent crews.

Team

Mike Coffin
Owner

Mike founded Michael S. Coffin LLC in 2014 on the principles of superior craftsmanship, professional project management, and streamlined communication.

With nearly 20 years of experience in landscape construction, Mike has built lasting relationships with many of the region’s leading builders, architects, and landscape architects. He remains closely involved in every phase of project development, from preconstruction planning through construction and into maintenance and fine gardening. Each landscape is delivered with thoughtful oversight, a collaborative approach, and lasting client partnerships while preserving the designer’s vision through installation and into long term horticultural care.

Mike holds a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is both a licensed Construction Supervisor (CSL) in Massachusetts and Rhode Island as well as a Certified Massachusetts Landscape Professional (MCLP).

Craig Lemberger
Managing Director, The Garden Concierge 

Craig is the Managing Director of The Garden Concierge, part of Michael S. Coffin, LLC, where he leads the company’s Fine Gardening division. Craig joined MSC in 2025 following its acquisition of The Garden Concierge, the firm he co-founded in 2003.

With more than two decades of experience in horticulture, design, and garden management, Craig brings a rare balance of business acumen and creative vision. His leadership is defined by a deep respect for both people and plants, cultivating teams that combine craftsmanship, knowledge, and care to deliver enduring beauty for clients and their landscapes.

Craig holds a B.A. and M.A. in Religious Studies and an M.A. in International Business and Finance. His work continues to reflect his belief that great gardens–and great organizations–grow through thoughtful attention, collaboration, and integrity.

Chris Macia
Controller

Chris is Controller and has been at MSC since 2019, managing the company’s financial systems, budgeting, reporting, and human resources, supporting nearly every aspect of MSC’s internal structure.

Chris has extensive experience in accounting and business operations. Chris’s attention to detail and steady leadership help ensure that financial and operational processes run efficiently across all divisions.

Chris holds a B.A. in Accounting from Bryant University.

Chris Boshar
Director of Development

Chris is Director of Development and has been at MSC since its inception in 2014, helping guide the company’s growth and internal systems.

Chris has nearly 20 years of experience in landscape construction and operations, managing employee training, safety programs, and company standards. Chris also contributes to MSC’s marketing and brand development, ensuring that its craftsmanship and values are clearly represented across all platforms.

Chris holds a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Zach Beaulieu
Project Development Manager

Zach is Project Development Manager and has been at MSC since 2024, overseeing preconstruction planning, estimating, and design coordination.

Zach has nearly 20 years of experience in the landscape and natural stone industries, including project management, fabrication, and 3D visualization. Zach’s blend of technical expertise and creative insight ensures every project begins with clarity, precision, and a strong foundation for success.

Zach holds a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Dan Keirstead
Production Manager

Dan is Production Manager and has been at MSC since 2018, overseeing scale construction projects and daily field operations.

Dan has over 10 years of experience in landscape construction and project management, bringing a deep understanding of detailed projects from their inception through to the finishing details. Dan’s practical leadership and strong communication skills help maintain MSC’s focus on safety, efficiency, and quality across all field operations.

Dan holds a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from the University Massachusetts, Amherst.

Josh Naputano
Production Manager

Josh is Production Manager and has been at MSC since 2023, overseeing large-scale construction projects and daily field operations.

Josh has 20 years of experience in construction, beginning with his own hardscape firm and later expanding into heavy civil project management. Josh’s technical expertise and commitment to precision ensure every MSC project is completed efficiently and to the highest standard of craftsmanship.

Crystal Harvey
Production Manager, Landscape Operations

Crystal is Production Manager of Landscape Operations and has been at MSC since 2021, managing plant sourcing, procurement, and scheduling for construction and maintenance teams.

Crystal has more than 10 years of experience in horticulture, landscaping, and plant care, having worked as an arborist, nursery grower, and a private landscaper. Crystal’s organized, detail-oriented approach keeps operations running smoothly while maintaining a high standard of plant quality and performance.

Crystal studied Plant Biology at Mount Holyoke College.

Paul Beigbeder
Project Manager

Paul is Project Manager and has been at MSC since 2021, managing landscape construction projects from preconstruction through final completion.

Paul has more than 25 years of experience in construction, masonry, and site development, with a refined ability to turn complex designs into built reality. Paul emphasizes communication, coordination, and precision to ensure that every project is delivered efficiently and to the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Paul holds a B.A. in Studio Art from Hartwick College and a 2A/1C Massachusetts Hoisting Engineer’s License.

Michael Smith
Project Manager

Michael is Project Manager at MSC, where he oversees project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination. He works closely with clients, designers, and field teams to ensure each project is delivered efficiently, on time, and to MSC’s standards of quality. His leadership, problem-solving skills, and depth of experience make him a valued member of the team.

Prior to joining MSC, Michael spent decades in the telecommunications industry, designing and managing large-scale infrastructure projects across the Northeast. Known for his collaborative approach and attention to detail, he consistently delivers high-quality results and exceptional service to his clients.

Dylan Higgins
Transportation Supervisor

Dylan is Transportation Supervisor and has been at MSC for nearly 10 years, where he started as a summer intern. He manages the company’s fleet, equipment, and transportation logistics.

Dylan has extensive experience in construction and trucking operations. Dylan’s organization, reliability, and problem-solving skills help keep projects on schedule and ensure that materials and equipment reach their destinations safely and efficiently.

Dylan holds a Class A CDL and a 2A/1C Massachusetts Hoisting Engineer’s License.

Peter Graham
Site Supervisor

Peter is Site Supervisor and has been at MSC since 2020, overseeing daily field operations and coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and equipment.

Peter has more than 30 years of experience in site development and construction management, with expertise ranging from land clearing and foundation work to drainage systems and wetland restoration. Peter’s leadership and field knowledge ensure each project progresses safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Peter is a licensed Massachusetts Construction Supervisor (CSL) and holds his 2A/1C Massachusetts Hoisting Engineer’s License.

Jose Velez
Site Supervisor

Jose is Site Supervisor and has been at MSC since 2015, overseeing field operations, managing crews, and coordinating on-site logistics.

Jose brings over 15 years of construction expertise, including more than a decade in landscape construction. He advanced from Crew Leader to Supervisor through dedication and hands-on experience. His knowledge of materials, construction methods, and attention to detail ensures every project meets MSC’s standards for craftsmanship and safety.

Jose holds a 2A/1C Massachusetts Hoisting Engineer’s License.
